Finding All The Chakras Introduction

My name is Lark Eaglin. I create safe spaces for creative expression and spiritual education. Most recently, I moderated a nightly guided meditation session at Stanford University for children ages 11-17. I understand the power of inner peace and the necessity of self love programs so my work is dedicated to my healing and learning. I have witnessed this experience ripple onto and within other people, giving them the opportunity to heal and understand themselves. This is the reason I have chosen to continue to do this work.

I design custom copper wrapped crystal jewelry. I specialize in pendants and dream catchers for protection, peace and clarity. It is my belief and dedication to the existence and flow of energy that allows me to create these tools for manifestation. I gift them as a way to plant peace everywhere I go as a light worker, instructor and friend. The pieces I create, help to support people on their own journey to self discovery and inner peace.

The guided meditation workshops are designed to bring users closer to themselves. The music and prose have been curated to allow every user the chance to check in with their own thoughts and feelings and desires. We use these moments to release pain and negativity in order to usher in self awareness and forgiveness. There are 3 modules to choose from and they are all compliant with the energy of the time of day they are designed for. This allows for every user to fully reset and recharge, Clearing space for self rediscovery and allowing confidence to be rebuilt and supported.

My dedication to the retrieval and distribution of information is revealed in the work I have done with my online herbal codex. I’ve personally coded designed the framework of a database of over 230 herbs. The database reveals the healing qualities of selected herbs and their correspondence to astrological signs, and earth elements. This kind of information can be used to dig deeper into our understanding of plant medicine and its role in our everyday lives.

*The following is an excerpt from a teaching prompt intended for a workshop with Candice Napper, founder of EYL 365 Project.

Photographic Arts as a tool for Self Discovery:

The ability to create and dissect their own content can empower students to develop critical thinking abilities/habits.

Objective:

Develop basic skills to capture manipulate and publish photographic content with the understanding of the power and control images have within our society and how that affects us all the time. It is through this study of environments that one can begin the understanding of self.

Week 1. What is Photography?

Photography has been used as a snapshot of ones identity. It peaks into the culture of a community and can reveal new understandings without even saying a word.

Objective:
-Open dialogue with the students about their relationship with photography, revealing how images are a key component of their interaction with the outside world

Week 2. Photographic Content and how it can be used to tell and manipulate a story

Objective:
Develop basic skills to evaluate messages within photographic content.

Class Project:
Review  the process with 3 images and then open the floor for the students to try and deconstruct the images
[ 5 advertisements (2 each) hand them out to the students and have them try it out on their own. First individually and then with the student with the matching image. Students will present to the group as a pair: Going over the similarities and differences of their findings]

B. Composition and Lighting

Class Project:
General photo set up in the classroom. One light. Camera. Tripod. Student volunteers as the subjects and we go through different lighting setups as a group.
Artificial vs natural/available light. Examples of available light because that's what they'll be working with mostly.

*The following is an excerpt from a gallery introduction for a visual artist residency program event

A  partnership with DC’s very own AOK and Independent Sector presents a paramount review of some of our most sacred tools for self realization: sisterhood and brotherhood. “TRIBE” an exhibition showcasing  11 AOK creatives, will open April 5, 2018. On the transformed floors of Independent Sector’s office space, expressions of our intricate connections will be featured as a visual representation of kinship and its many faces.

Kinship is a primal response to our inherently human desire to be an important part of something. “TRIBE” considers the idea that relationships define who we are (or at least who we think we are) and that we are actively defining and redefining ourselves when we are intentional in our engagement within kinship. We welcome you to engage in this learning experience with us as we present our findings that prove the bonds of sisterhood and brotherhood can surpass biology.

“TRIBE” glorifies the creation of a community-turned family. Breaking down the components of relationship and responsibility to the agreement that rings “we are connected.” As a result of this connection we share our truths with intentions to become our best selves together. So join us at 1602 L st NW, Washington DC and share in the discoveries that relationships redefine everyday.
